Emily Leffler Schulman began designing for the web in 1997. She spent several years with The Canton Group, creating websites and multimedia products for clients such as Dewalt, World Bank and Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She went on to work with the US Department of State in Washington, DC where she spearheaded a global streaming video project that brought live coverage of foreign affairs news and educational materials to diplomats in US embassies. Leffler-Schulman was officially commended for her efforts by the Assistant Secretary of State. In 2006, she returned to Baltimore and founded the multimedia form Mobtown Studios, which has been recognized for its work by Baltimore Magazine and City Paper. At Mobtown, she has developed work for clients such as USDA, NIH, Baltimore Orioles, Columbus Blue Jackets and Chase. She's also a co-founder of Mobtown Records and the annual NOVO Festival.
