WHAT

 "Why is it that there is no single place to go to get stats and performance for non-professional athletes? We came up with a cool idea to solve this problem. We are developing an app called Scoutlit, so that scorekeepers in schools and recreational organization can easily record stats and improve the gameplay of young athletes, while providing analytical information back to coaches, fans, the organizers. This means that High Schools, Middle Schools, and other organizations will be able to provide fans and athletes real stats via an easy to use app. Also, as an athlete, your statistics follow you as you move from league to league and team to team. A lack of motivation and encouragement are one of the main reasons for why many talented athletes drop out at an early age. We believe that by providing more information, and adding more info to your game, we can help find the next Michael Jordan in their early stages.

WHY

We need your help in funding so that the app can be free:

While we have funded much of the initial app on our own, we need your help to get us over the finish line. The $3000 will go towards helping us pay for the following:

1.   to afford a “big boy” server (more athletic than the one that we have currently) so that the app and Scoutlit website is able to update during a live game while creating a live National/Global database for athletes

2.   help us fund for a used macbook

3.   an Apple app developing program

4.   a Windows 7 app developing program/ Silverlight mobile app

5.   any administrative cost in making it available in the mobile market (app store fees) + PR expense

These are all the things we need so that we can have Scoutlit up and running for free for all platforms including Apple app store, Android market, Amazon market, and Windows 7.

First version will cover basketball, but future versions will include baseball, football, soccer, hockey, golf, tennis, fencing, and etc....
